Gymnation UAE Case Study

Gymnation was a new entry to the Dubai fitness market in 2018 with a goal to expand rapidly and disrupt the marketplace with its low cost high value model.

Challenge : Connecting the local payment gateway Telr to the Mindbody software so that the 10,000 members in each club had immediate access after payment. This was further complicated by the high decline rate and subsequent transaction retry volumes.

 

Solution : BRIJPAY cloud with its scalable data management platform could consume all of the transaction data from the Telr API, and post new clients, and successful sales to Mindbody in real time.

 

Results : The first site, Al Quoz, opened with 3000 members and rapidly grew to 10,000 active members. BRIJPAY was able to consume and process all the transactions in real time meaning that the staff team could focus on service rather than administration.

Between 2018 and 2023 Gymnation grew with BRIJPAY from 1 club to 11 clubs in the UAE with membership growing from 3000 to over 110,000 in that time.

BRIJPAY also supported the transition from Mindbody to Perfect Gym with a seamless transfer of data.
